Welcome to CAMAC
The Corporations and Markets Advisory Committee was set up by statute in 1989 to provide a source of independent advice to the Australian Government on issues that arise from time to time in corporations and financial markets law and practice.
CAMAC members are appointed on the basis of knowledge and experience in business, financial markets, law, economics or accounting. CAMAC is assisted by a Legal Committee, whose members have expertise in corporate law. Members of CAMAC and the Legal Committee serve on a part-time basis. They are supported by a small, full-time Executive.
